More and more people are turning to online retailers to pick up items that they need. With retailing giants such as Amazon and Argos now offering same-day delivery, it’s becoming increasingly normal to expect your goods to be delivered within a day or so of purchase. We all want our goods to be handed to us or left neatly in a safe space awaiting our return, so reliable, speedy couriers are a must.
Which companies are faring worse?
But unfortunately, customers don’t always get such a good experience with the courier company that is supposed to be delivering that parcel safely.
At the bottom of the list of reliable couriers is Evri, according to this article in the Independent newspaper:. Just over two-thirds of customers, or 67%, reported experiencing an issue with their Evri delivery within the last six months.
Issues ranged from delays to parcels being left in an insecure or wrong location. There were also issues with couriers on the doorstep – quite a few respondents reported that the courier’s knock was too quiet for them to hear, or that the courier didn’t allow them enough time to get to the door before driving off again!
Conversely, DHL and Amazon fared much better in these polls, which were conducted by Ofcom. Customers may also find that a same day courier Liverpool or other cities, such as https://allaboutfreight.co.uk/same-day-courier/liverpool/, can tick all the boxes in terms of swift and reliable delivery.
Who else should we avoid?
Yodel are also rated poorly according to the same parameters, while a different survey conducted by Martin Lewis’ Money Saving Expert website reported that both Evri and TNT were found languishing at the bottom of the table of reliable delivery services. An enormous 48% of customers rated them as providing a poor service overall, citing delays and a lack of culpability when it came to locating missing items.
Damaged packaging is another reason why some of these companies have received poor ratings, with some items being completely unusable by the time they were (eventually) delivered.
